I have received or a receiving RSA or the new employment bonus (prime d'activité)

Periods during which you receive France’s guaranteed minimum income (RMI), active solidarity income (RSA), or the new employment bonus (prime d’activité) do not entitle you to membership in any basic or supplementary pension schemes.

This means that they do not count towards a retirement pension.

The new employment bonus (prime d’activité) was rolled out on January 1, 2016. This welfare payment, which has replaced the “RSA activité” and the previous employment bonus (Prime pour l’emploi/ PPE), is intended for low-income workers. It is paid monthly by the family benefits funds (Caisses d’allocations familiales/ CAF) and the agricultural social mutual fund (MSA) and does not count towards a retirement pension.
